For spiritual directors

Keep the hour sacred.
The paperwork will keep itself.

Directee holds the scheduling, session notes, invoices, and records of a spiritual direction practice in one quiet place — so the hour before a session belongs to prayer, not administration.

28 days of every feature, no credit card to start.

Why Directee

Built around the sacred trust of spiritual direction

It speaks your language

Directees, not clients. A monthly rhythm, not billable hours. Covenants and companioning, not case files. Therapy software feels clinical and generic CRMs feel commercial — Directee was built for this work alone.

Confidentiality as a discipline

What is said in direction stays in direction. Session notes are visible to you and no one else, held in your own protected account — because the trust in the room deserves software that honors it.

The whole practice, including the money

Invoicing, payment links, expenses, and a profit-and-loss view — the part of the vocation nobody trained you for, handled in the same quiet place as everything else.

The practice

Everything a practice carries, in one quiet place

A direction practice is small, but it is not simple: people, sessions, notes, money, documents, follow-ups. Directee holds all of it so that none of it holds you.

  1. 1. Connect

Link your Cal.com page in about ten minutes.

  2. 2. Companion

Bookings arrive as appointments, matched to each directee.

  3. 3. Conclude

When a session ends, the invoice is already waiting.

Directee records
One page per person: their story, sessions, notes, documents, and giving rhythm — the whole companionship at a glance.
Scheduling that syncs itself
Connect your Cal.com booking page once. Every booking, reschedule, and cancellation becomes an appointment, matched to the right directee automatically.
Session notes
Write what you need to remember, where only you can read it. Notes live with the directee they belong to.
Invoicing without awkwardness
Stripe-backed invoices and payment links go out on your rhythm — per session, monthly, or by retainer — and reconcile themselves when paid.
Expenses & profit-and-loss
Track what the practice costs as well as what it brings in, and hand your tax preparer one honest report.
Documents & agreements
Covenants, intake forms, and shared readings, kept with the person they belong to instead of a desktop folder.

A quiet look inside

The whole practice, on one calm desk

The Directee dashboard: income, expenses, and profit for the year, quick actions, and today's appointments
Your morning at a glance — today’s sessions, the practice’s health, one place.
A directee profile in Directee with appointments, notes, payments, and documents in one place
One page per person — sessions, notes, documents, the whole companionship.
The profit and loss report in Directee showing income, expenses, and profit for the year
Income, expenses, and profit aggregate all year. Tax season, already done.
Directee exists so that the hour before a session can be spent in silence, not spreadsheets.

Why we build

Pricing

No feature gates. Pricing grows only as your practice does.

Every plan includes everything — secure notes, scheduling, invoicing, documents, reports. The only difference is how many directees you’re actively companioning. Deactivated directees keep all their records and never count against your plan.

Questions

Asked in good faith, answered the same way

Anything else on your mind, the guides go deeper.

Can’t I just do this with a spreadsheet, Venmo, and email?
You can — the honest question is why your hours should go there. We wrote out the full accounting: what your hour is worth, what the spreadsheet actually costs, and why every plan prices at a fraction of one session fee.
Who can read my session notes?
You, and no one else. Notes live in your own account, scoped to you alone — directees, other directors, and Directee staff have no window into them in the normal course of things. Confidentiality is the discipline the whole product is built around.
What happens when my free trial ends?
Every account starts with 28 days of every feature. When the trial ends, nothing is deleted: if you're companioning five directees or fewer, you simply continue on the Free plan. With more than five, you choose the plan that fits — or deactivate directees down to five and stay free.
Do my directees need an account?
No. Directees book through your regular scheduling page and correspond by email as they always have. Directee is your desk, not theirs.
Do I have to use Cal.com?
Directee works best with a free Cal.com account for scheduling — bookings then flow in automatically, and connecting it takes about ten minutes. But you can also record appointments by hand and use everything else without it.
I charge on a sliding scale. Will the pricing respect that?
We try to practice what the field preaches: ministry and hardship pricing are available on request, directors-in-training fit under the Free plan, and annual billing gives two months free. Write to us and we will work something out.
Who builds Directee?
Directee is built by pastors, together with the technologist who serves as lead developer of CareNote, the leading pastoral-care software. It began as a tool for one working director and grew from the real rhythms of the work — sessions, notes, invoices — not a startup pitch deck.

Begin with five directees, free.
