Your plan & billing
Directee’s pricing works the same way it always has: every feature is available on every plan. The only thing that changes as you move up plans is how many active directees you can have at once.
Your 28-day trial
When you sign up, Directee gives you 28 days of full access — every feature, no directee limit — without asking for a card. Use that time to bring on directees, run a few sessions, and see how the whole practice fits together.
There’s nothing to cancel if it’s not for you. If your trial ends without a subscription, Directee looks at how many active directees you have and takes it from there — see “When your trial ends” below.
The four plans
Every plan includes the same Directee — scheduling, invoicing, notes, documents, and reports. Plans differ only by price and by how many active directees you can have:
Free — $0/month. Up to 5 active directees. For directors in training and new practices.
Solo — $25/month or $249/year. Up to 15 active directees. For the working director with a part-time practice.
Professional — $49/month or $299/year. Up to 30 active directees. For a full practice with room to spare.
Practice — $99/month or $990/year. Unlimited active directees. For directors who train new directors.
Only active directees count toward a plan’s limit. If you deactivate a directee — someone you’re no longer meeting with — they stop counting against your cap, but nothing about their record disappears: notes, documents, invoices, and appointment history all stay exactly where they are, and you can reactivate the directee any time your plan has room.
Need a different rate for ministry or hardship reasons? Reply to any billing email from Directee and ask — pricing is flexible on request.
When your trial ends
If you have 5 or fewer active directees when your 28-day trial ends, Directee moves you to the Free plan automatically. Nothing is removed and every feature keeps working — you just carry a 5-directee cap going forward.
If you have more than 5 active directees, you’ll need to do one of two things: subscribe to a plan that covers your directee count, or deactivate directees until you’re at 5 or fewer active. Deactivating keeps every record intact — it only changes who counts toward the Free limit.
If an over-the-limit trial goes unresolved, Directee emails you a notice and gives you 14 days to act. Accounts still over the Free limit and unsubscribed at the end of that window are permanently deleted, including directee records, notes, and documents — so it’s worth subscribing or trimming down to 5 before then.
Subscribe, cancel, or resume from Billing
All subscription changes happen on the Billing page in your dashboard.
- Open Billing from the left navigation.
- If you’re not subscribed, pick a plan and click Subscribe Monthly or Subscribe Yearly — you’ll be sent to Stripe checkout to enter payment details.
- Once subscribed, use Manage Billing to update your card or view invoices, or Cancel Subscription to stop renewing. A cancelled subscription keeps working until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
- Changed your mind after cancelling but before the period ends? Click Resume Subscription — you’ll be billed again on your next billing date as if you’d never cancelled.
Hitting your directee limit
Directee only stops you at the moment a directee would become active — creating a new active directee, or reactivating one you’d deactivated — past your plan’s limit. You’ll see a notification naming your current plan and its limit, with a button to see plans and upgrade.
Nothing else is blocked. You can keep editing, scheduling, and invoicing for every directee you already have active; the limit only applies to adding one more.
